Performance E85
With the introduction of E85, aka “Flex Fuels”, racers were interested in it right away due to its low cost. Consisting of 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline, it had similar characteristics of Methanol; cooler burning, higher density, more power. Unfortunately, the E85 sold at your local gas stations uses the lowest octane available for the 15% gasoline portion. This created the need for a higher performance E85 fuel. F&L’s Performance E85 uses a higher-octane, premium grade, unleaded as it’s gasoline base stock. This allows for better consistency, higher performance and better fuel consumption. Performance E85 has shown up to a 5% increase in HP of the dyno when compared to the E85 from your local pump!
